Tap-to-tip · Perth, Western Australia

Nobody carries cash. Tips shouldn't disappear with it.

Nodra is a tap point for your counter. Customers tip with the phone already in their hand — three seconds, no app, no card machine — and the money goes to the person who earned it.

We set it up with you in person. After that it looks after itself.

The gap

Tipping didn't stop. The way to do it did.

Australians stopped carrying notes years ago, and nothing replaced the jar on the counter. Every day, people who would have tipped simply can't.

The jar is empty

Not because nobody wanted to tip — because nobody had a five in their pocket to put in it.

The terminal isn't the answer

A tip prompt on the till goes into the business, mid-transaction, in front of a queue. It's the wrong moment and often the wrong pocket.

Nobody knows who it reached

Once a tip is pooled by hand, it's counted, split, remembered and argued about. Or it just quietly evaporates.

1Tap. That's the whole thing.

How it works

Three seconds, start to finish.

The whole point is that nobody has to think about it. No signup for the customer, no awkward conversation, no fumbling for change that isn't there.

01

Tap

The customer holds their phone near the tip point on the counter, station or mirror. The tip page opens in their browser straight away — nothing to install, nothing to scan.

02

Choose

They pick a preset amount or enter their own, and pay with the card or wallet already sitting on their phone. Two taps, done.

03

Paid

Stripe processes the tip and pays it out to the account it belongs to. Every tip is logged, so nothing has to be counted or split by hand at close.

Try it

Have a go. This is the real flow.

Tap the stand, then use the phone the way your customer would. Switch the payout model to see how the flow changes.

The range

One idea. Three shapes.

Pick the shape that fits your counter, not the other way around. Same tap, same flow, same setup.

Payouts

Two ways to send the money.

Tips get shared differently everywhere. Pick the setup that matches how your place already works — you choose it once during setup, and you can change it later.

What you get

Set up once, then forget about it.

A tip point that stays put

A hard-wearing tile with 3M adhesive backing, made to live on a counter and survive being cleaned around every single day.

Nothing for the customer to install

The tip page opens in whatever browser is already on their phone, and pays with the card, Apple Pay or Google Pay they already use.

Payments handled properly

Payments and payouts run through Stripe, so card details never touch us and money lands in the right account.

Set up with you, not posted to you

In Perth we bring it, stick it down, add your team and test the whole flow on the spot before we leave.

A record of every tip

Each tip is logged against the person or the pool it belongs to, so there's no counting a jar or guessing at the end of a shift.

Change it whenever

Staff come and go. Add someone, remove someone, or switch how tips are split — without replacing anything on the counter.

Pricing

One-off for the hardware. Nothing hiding behind it.

You pay for the tip points and the setup. After that the only cost on a tip is the standard payment processing, and we'll show you exactly what that is before you commit.

Questions

The things everyone asks first.

Does the customer need to download anything?

No. The tip page opens in the browser that's already on their phone the moment they tap. There's no app, no account and no signup — they choose an amount and pay with the card or wallet they already have set up.

Does the tip point need power or wi-fi?

No. The tile, stand and card are all passive — there's no battery to charge and nothing to plug in. The customer's own phone does the work, so the tip point just sits there and keeps working.

Do we need a card machine or a POS integration?

No. Nodra sits completely separate from your till, which is the point — the tip doesn't get tangled up in the sale, and it doesn't land in the business account unless you want it to.

How does the money actually reach us?

Payments and payouts run through Stripe. During setup you connect the bank account each tip point pays out to — an individual's account for "pick your person", or the venue's for a shared pool. Card details never touch Nodra.

What happens when someone joins or leaves the team?

You add or remove them, and the tip point updates. Nothing on the counter changes and nothing needs reprinting — the same tile just shows a different list of names next time someone taps it.

Can a customer tip whatever they want?

Yes. You set the presets that show up first — most places pick three amounts that suit their average sale — and there's always an option to enter a different number.

What if a phone doesn't support tapping?

Every tip point also carries a printed code as a fallback, so an older phone can still get to the same page with the camera. Nobody gets stuck at the counter.

Do you install outside Perth?

We install in person across the Perth metro area. Anywhere else in Australia we ship the tip points to you and walk through the setup on a call — it's a short job either way.
